1. Scope
This policy applies to workcompfinder.com, its directory, program-fit tools, ownership claims, partner portal, and related communications. It does not replace a partner’s own privacy notice or govern information a partner processes independently.
2. Information we collect
We may collect identifiers and contact details; professional and company information; directory listing and licensing-related information; account, authentication, claim, verification, and audit records; communications preferences; fit-assessment inputs and routing results; device, browser, security, and usage information; and information you submit in forms, chat, or support requests.
Some directory information may come from public records, carrier or program sources, business websites, licensed datasets, partner submissions, or other professional sources. We do not ask users to submit Social Security numbers, banking credentials, claims files, loss runs, detailed experience-modification data, confidential submission documents, or other restricted underwriting information through public directory forms.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the directory; verify organizations, people, and authority scopes; display and correct listings; evaluate program fit without making underwriting promises; route requests; preserve referral attribution; prevent fraud and abuse; communicate about services; comply with law; and improve performance.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that host, secure, analyze, or support the service; to authorized directory or program participants when needed for a requested workflow; in a business transaction; or when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, verification, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and audit history. Retention periods vary by record type. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, receive a portable copy, appeal a decision, and receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. We do not discriminate against people for exercising applicable rights.
Submit a privacy or deletion request. You may also email admin@workcompfinder.com. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request, subject to proof of authorization. We may retain information where an applicable exception permits or requires it, including security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, transaction completion, and the establishment or defense of legal claims.
7. Cookies and browser controls
We may use essential cookies for authentication, security, and preferences, plus limited analytics where enabled. Browser settings can restrict cookies but may affect functionality. Where legally required, we will recognize applicable opt-out preference signals for covered processing.
8. Automated assistant and browser permissions
WorkComp Finder may offer an automated assistant that asks for information such as your name, business email address, or telephone number to respond to a request, route you to a partner, schedule follow-up, or continue a conversation. The assistant may use browser-supported permission prompts or ask you to enter the information directly. It will not be authorized to collect browser-held contact information without a clear user action and permission.
Providing contact information to the assistant is optional unless it is necessary to complete a service you request. Before using contact details for marketing calls or texts, we will present any consent language required for that channel. You may decline a browser permission, close the assistant, request a person, withdraw communication consent, or submit a privacy request. Automated responses may be incomplete and should not be treated as underwriting, coverage, legal, or professional advice.
9. Children
WorkComp Finder is a business and professional service not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be posted with a revised date. Questions may be sent to admin@workcompfinder.com.
